We drive four kinds of car from Kangra: the Toyota Innova Crysta for families and long mountain tours, the Maruti Ertiga for small families with luggage, a Swift Dzire or Etios sedan for two to four, and the Force Traveller — the tempo traveller — in 12+1 and 17+1 seats for groups. Toyota Innova Crysta

A smooth, economical MPV that takes the hill bends gently. The roof carrier holds the suitcases a family actually brings, so nobody travels with a bag on their knees.
Swift Dzire / Etios sedan

- Two to four people — airport, station and town runs
Light on the hill roads and easy on fuel, so the right call when there are only a few of you and the trip is a transfer rather than a tour.
Force Traveller (tempo traveller)

- Wedding parties, big families and group yatras
Two sizes, so a large group rides in one vehicle with one driver instead of a convoy. Its proper name is the Force Traveller; most people search for it as a tempo traveller, and both mean this van.
