How we drive it
Chintpurni, Mata who lifts worries, sits on a forested hill in Una district, and it is the longest single darshan drive from Kangra, so we like to leave early. A pre-dawn start gets you a calm darshan before the queues build, and the road south through Dehra Gopipur is an easy one.
Many families fold Chintpurni into the wider Devi Darshan rather than doing it alone. It pairs naturally with Jwala Ji and Baglamukhi on the way back up into the valley. The queue
It is worst on weekends and through both Navratris. A weekday, early, is a completely different experience. We plan the start time around that rather than around our convenience.
Elders in the group
There is a walk from the parking to the sanctum. Tell us who is coming and we arrange palki where it is needed and keep the halts close to the car.
