How we drive it

Of all the Devi shrines, Chintpurni is the one the Vande Bharat has changed most. It is the first shrine up the ridge from Amb Andaura, which means a family off the morning Vande Bharat can have darshan the same day — a trip that used to take two days.

We meet the train and drive straight up. The driver waits at the temple while you are inside, so you are not rushing darshan to hold on to a car, and you come back to the same vehicle and the same person.

From Chintpurni most people carry on rather than turn back — Jwala Ji is close, and Kangra, Dharamshala and the rest of the six-temple circuit follow naturally. Tell us the plan and we will quote the whole thing as one fare.
