How we drive it

Eleven hours is a long day. Most people book this overnight: leaving Palampur in the evening and reaching Delhi in the early morning, which avoids both the hill traffic and the worst of the plains heat.

One driver stays with you the whole way. On a route this long that matters more than anything else in the quote: no handover at a highway dhaba to someone you have never met.

We drop at any address in Delhi or NCR, at any IGI terminal, and at Nizamuddin or New Delhi station for onward trains. The reverse, Delhi up to Palampur, works exactly the same way.

Once you reach Delhi

Our advice

Amb Andaura station is about 3 hours from Palampur and the Vande Bharat covers the rest to Delhi. Unless you have a lot of luggage or a big group, that is the better trip and we would rather tell you than sell you eleven hours.

When the car does win

Groups of five or more, odd hours, lots of bags, or a route with stops in it. Then the door-to-door car is simpler.

Splitting it

Chandigarh at ~5.5 hrs makes a comfortable overnight halfway.
