How we drive it.

Nurpur and Kangra are the two ends of the same district and the road between them is one we know as well as any — an hour and a half through Jassur and Shahpur with the Dhauladhar on your left most of the way.

The work is the everyday kind: Tanda hospital appointments, functions and weddings, court and office trips, and people connecting through Kangra to Gaggal airport or on up to Dharamshala.

The other direction matters too. Pathankot is only forty minutes from Nurpur, so a Kangra family with a train to catch will often book us straight through to the station rather than changing at Nurpur.
