Hill station · Solan, H.P.
Kasauli
A hush of pine, cobbled lanes and colonial bungalows above the plains — Kasauli keeps the unhurried charm that bigger hill stations have lost.
About the trip
The little cantonment in the pines.
Kasauli was raised by the British as a quiet garrison town, and it has kept that gentle character — Victorian bungalows, a cobbled Mall, church bells and the smell of pine. There is little to 'do' here, and that is exactly the point.
Walk the Upper and Lower Malls, take the Gilbert nature trail along the ridge, climb to Monkey Point for the view, and watch the sun drop over the Punjab plains. The Timber Trail cable car and Sanawar lie close by.
What you’ll see
