Brajeshwari Devi — the Kangra Devi — an ancient Shakti Peetha in the heart of Kangra town.
About the temple
One of the oldest and once the most richly endowed temples of the region, Brajeshwari stands in Kangra town itself. Rebuilt over the centuries after invasions and the 1905 earthquake, it remains a living centre of devotion.
Being in Kangra town itself, it needs no long drive — an easy darshan folded into the valley circuit, often paired with nearby Chamunda.
