Chamunda Devi — a fierce form of Durga — below the Dhauladhar range, on the bank of the Baner river between Dharamshala and Palampur.
About the temple
Known as Chamunda Nandikeshwar Dham, the temple sits in one of the loveliest settings of the circuit: snow on the Dhauladhar above, the Baner running below. The goddess is worshipped here in her powerful Chamunda form.
Its position near Dharamshala makes it the natural closing darshan — easy to combine with McLeodganj on the same day.
