About the trip
The capital and the Taj, without the train scramble.
Delhi wears every century at once — Mughal forts and tombs, a Lutyens capital of broad avenues, and bazaars that have traded for four hundred years. We drive you down from Kangra and give you two unhurried days to take in both the old city and the new.
Then it is on to Agra, three hours south, for the Taj Mahal, the red-sandstone Agra Fort and the abandoned Mughal capital at Fatehpur Sikri. One car and one driver carry you the whole loop and home again.

Kangra to Delhi
The drive down from the hills to the capital, roughly ten hours; evening arrival and rest.

Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk in the old city; Raj Ghat, India Gate, Qutub Minar and Humayun's Tomb in the new.

Delhi to Agra
Down the Yamuna Expressway to Agra; the Taj Mahal in the softer afternoon light, then Agra Fort.

Agra & Fatehpur Sikri
The Taj again at sunrise if you wish, then Fatehpur Sikri's palaces and the Buland Darwaza on the way back toward Delhi.

Return to Kangra
The homeward drive north, with an Akshardham or temple stop in Delhi if time allows.

How long does the Kangra to Delhi and Agra trip take?
Four to five days is comfortable — two days for Delhi's old and new city, a day for the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri on the way back, and the drive each way. If you only want the Taj we can do a shorter Kangra–Agra run; if you want to add Jaipur it becomes the Golden Triangle.
Is the Taj Mahal closed on any day?
Yes — the Taj Mahal is closed every Friday. We plan the Agra day around that, and aim your visit for sunrise or the calmer late afternoon when the marble glows and the crowds thin. Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri stay open through the week.
Can you pick us up from Delhi airport or railway station instead?
Yes. If you are flying or taking the train into Delhi, we can meet you at the airport or station and run the Delhi–Agra loop from there, then drop you back — or drive you on up to Kangra. Tell us your arrival and we time everything to your flight or train.
What is the best season for Delhi and Agra?
October to March, when the plains are pleasant and mornings are cool and clear for the Taj. May and June are very hot and the monsoon humid. Winter mornings can be foggy, so we keep the Agra timings flexible.
