About the trip

Hill air and a holy river.

This trip pairs two sides of Uttarakhand — breezy, colonial Mussoorie on its ridge above the Doon valley, and Rishikesh, where the Ganga leaves the mountains amid ashrams, rafts and the evening Ganga aarti.

Mussoorie brings Kempty falls, the Mall and Gun Hill; Rishikesh brings Lakshman Jhula, the Beatles Ashram and white-water; Haridwar adds the grand Har Ki Pauri aarti. We drive you the whole loop from Kangra.

How it runs from here: the drive out is the long part of this trip — ten hours or more to Mussoorie — so we either start before dawn or break it at Chandigarh, and we will tell you honestly which suits your group. Mussoorie's Mall is pedestrianised and its parking is limited and steep, so we work on drop-and-collect. Rishikesh is the opposite: everything is close, and the day is shaped around the evening aarti rather than the driving.

What you’ll see

  • Mussoorie Mall & Gun Hill ropeway
  • Kempty Falls & Lal Tibba
  • Ganga aarti at Triveni Ghat
  • Lakshman & Ram Jhula, Beatles Ashram
  • White-water rafting on the Ganga
  • Har Ki Pauri aarti, Haridwar

Good to know

Mussoorie & Rishikesh — questions travellers ask

How far is Mussoorie from Kangra?

About 430 km and ten to eleven hours via Chandigarh, Paonta Sahib and Dehradun. It is the longest single driving day of this trip, so we start very early or break it at Chandigarh, depending on your group.

Why pair Mussoorie with Rishikesh?

They are only about 80 km apart and give you two completely different days: a colonial hill station on a ridge, then the Ganga where it comes out of the mountains. Doing one without the other, having driven all that way, is a missed opportunity.

Is Kempty Falls worth visiting?

It is the most famous sight in Mussoorie and, in season, the most crowded — genuinely packed on weekends. If you want a waterfall in peace, go early on a weekday or ask us about the quieter ones nearby. Lal Tibba and the Camel's Back road are the better use of a Mussoorie morning.

When can we raft on the Ganga?

Roughly September to June. Rafting is suspended through the monsoon, from around late June to early September, when the river is too high. The standard runs are from Shivpuri or Marine Drive down to Rishikesh, and the operators are licensed and take beginners.

Are the aartis at Rishikesh and Haridwar different?

Yes, and both are worth seeing. Triveni Ghat and Parmarth Niketan in Rishikesh are smaller and more musical; Har Ki Pauri at Haridwar is the grand one, with thousands on the steps and lamps going down the river. Arrive at least half an hour ahead for either.

What is the best time for Mussoorie and Rishikesh?

It runs all year. March to June is the classic hill-station season at Mussoorie; September to November gives clear air and calm ghats at Rishikesh. Avoid Kanwar Yatra, usually in July, when Haridwar and the Rishikesh road are extremely crowded.

Our price promise

The lowest rate you’ll find for this trip — or we beat it.

We don’t publish a rate card, because an honest fare depends on your dates, your group and the road. What we do promise: ask us before you book anywhere, and if you’re already holding a written quote for the same car, the same route and the same all-in inclusions, send us the screenshot. We’ll beat it — and on the rare trip where we honestly can’t, we’ll tell you straight instead of wasting your day.

  1. 01

    Tell us the plan

WhatsApp your dates, your group and where you want to go. You get one all-in fare — car, driver, fuel, tolls, parking and permits — usually within the hour.

  2. 02

    Compare it openly

Check it against any operator or app you like. Compare like for like: the same car, the same days, everything included — not a headline figure with extras added on later.

  3. 03

    We beat it

Send us the lower written quote and we’ll beat it. You book the owner-drivers direct, so there is no agent commission sitting inside our number to begin with.
