The Kangra–Kullu road is a fine day of driving — the tea gardens to Palampur, the old Baijnath temple, then over into the Beas valley at Mandi with the river running alongside all the way up to Kullu. Most people carry on to Manali, but Kullu is worth a stop: the Dussehra ground, the shawl weavers and the temples above the town.

We do straight one-way drops for travellers heading on to Manali or Manikaran, and round trips where the same car stays with you for Kullu, Bijli Mahadev and the Parvati valley. Either way it is one fare, agreed before you leave, with no handovers on the hill road.

Bijli Mahadev

The temple on the ridge above Kullu, reached by road then a walk. The valley view from the top is the best in the district.

Parvati valley

Manikaran’s hot springs and gurudwara, and Kasol beyond, turn off at Bhuntar — about an hour from Kullu.

Manali

Another hour up the valley. If Manali is the real destination, we usually recommend going straight there and treating Kullu as a stop.
