Gaggal is where the valley’s airport is, and for most visitors it is the first ground they stand on. The terminal is small and the taxi supply outside it thins out fast once a flight has landed, which is why a pre-booked car is worth the two minutes it takes to arrange.

Good to know locally
DHM cancels in bad weather
Winter fog and monsoon cloud both close it, sometimes at short notice. If your flight goes, we can turn the same car around for Pathankot (~2.5 hrs) or Amb Andaura (~2 hrs).
Do not cut it fine
The valley road can sit behind a truck for twenty minutes with no way past. We leave a buffer rather than driving hard.
Tanda
The medical college is fifteen minutes from Gaggal, which makes airport-to-hospital a common and quick run.
