Hamirpur is a busy district town on the road between the Kangra valley and Bilaspur, and its steady taxi demand comes from two places most people would not guess: the National Institute of Technology, and the fact that a very large number of Himachal families with someone working outside the state are from this district.

That means a lot of arrivals and departures. Students and staff at NIT need runs to Gaggal, Amb Andaura and Chandigarh at the start and end of every term, and families need airport and station transfers year-round.

Deotsidh, the Baba Balak Nath shrine, is about 45 km away and draws steady pilgrimage traffic, particularly on Sundays. We do that run, and we also handle the long onward drives — Shimla, Chandigarh and Delhi are all straightforward from here, as is the road back up to Dharamshala.
